Biography

Alva was the leader of the Light Elf faction in the War for the Light. After Svartáljǫfurr, the King of the Dark Elves, was slain by Kratos and Atreus, Alva was elected to succeed him as the custodian of the Temple of Light, which lies below the Ringed Temple.

God of War Ragnarök

When Kratos, Atreus, and Tyr returned to Alfheim to interfere in the war between the Light and Dark Elves during the onset of Ragnarök, Alva attacked them in the Temple of Light but was killed in the process.

God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla

A recreated version of Alva appears in Valhalla as a boss, as Valhalla had taken advantage of Kratos' memory of his past fight with the Light Elf Queen prior to the onset of Ragnarök.

Description

"Winters ago we defeated the Dark Elf king Svartáljǫfurr. It appears in his absence, a new guardian of the Temple of Light was anointed. Her swordsmanship and command of her form was unlike any I have gone up against. She was the aggressor, but once again Atreus questions if we have "helped the wrong side", referring to the struggle between the Light and Dark Elves. The only side we can take in this conflict is our own."

Appearance

Like most Light Elves, Alva wears elegant robes in white accented with gold trimmings, emphasizing her status and grace. Her armor extends over her face, shoulders, and legs in intricately patterned gold plating, blending ceremonial elegance with battle-ready protection. Her golden crown-like headdress distinguishes her as Queen, while the sharp, angular motifs echo the ethereal and precise aesthetic of the Light Elves.

Subtle accents of pale blue thread and layered fabric highlight both her regality and her mobility, and the finely engraved designs on her armor suggest craftsmanship of the highest order. She carries a pair of slender, ornate swords, reinforcing her role as a skilled warrior in addition to her royal presence. Her posture and gaze convey authority, vigilance, and a sense of disciplined nobility, reflecting her position as both ruler and protector of the Light Elves.
