Amara is the Amazonian daughter of Head Master Konstantinos, who came to live in the Agoge with her father, after her mother's death.
Description
The Amazonian daughter of Head Master Konstantinos. Raised initially by her mother, Amara elected to live in care of her father at the Agoge following her mother's death. The Amazons are a credit to their sex, nearly as dedicated and formidable a force as Spartans. This child, with the blood of both cultures, shows great promise as a warrior. Though her presence in the Agoge is outside our norms, her father is wise and loyal, and I will trust him not to let distraction and disharmony hamper the traditions on which our society depends.
Biography
God of War: Sons of Sparta
Kratos sees Amara speaking to Deimos and telling him that Vasilis is missing. Deimos tells her that they will keep an eye out for him. Kratos wonders why Deimos promised that they will look for him, but Deimos states he only said they will keep an eye out for him.
While returning from the Oenus Vineyard, Kratos sees Amara outside of Sparta. She explains that she needed to take a break from her duties and father. She doesn't believe she can be a good sculptor and wishes to be a warrior, which is why she even came to Sparta and her father. Kratos is sure that Konstantinos will finish the statue of Sparta by himself and it won't be her responsibility, but Amara states that Konstantinos is still teaching her just in case he dies before he finishes it.
Inside Sparta, Kratos and Deimos see that Amara is talking to Brontes. Deimos wonders if she likes him, but Kratos states that she is probably just asking for information about Vasilis. As Brontes leaves, they approach Amara who asks them if they found Vasilis. The two explain that they found his hideout in the cistern and a Black Broth recipe he was working on. Amara wonders if they traced from where he got ingredients, and the two state that they are working on it. Amara then hands them Vasilis' lucky charm, which Vasilis' mother had given to her.
On his way to Taygetos, Kratos meets Amara, who tells him that she has been thinking about what he said and tells him that she is grateful for Kratos' leadership. The other cadets are looking up to him and she isn't sure they would have accepted her if Kratos didn't show respect to her. Kratos states that there is nothing to thank him for, as she demonstrated her prowess when she defeated Eis when they sparred.
Later, Amara tells Kratos and Deimos that Vasilis knew that spear and shield weren't his strength, and that he asked for help with archery. She tells them the location of an archer's perch where he used to sneak off and practice, which is high in the Passage of Monuments, near Queen Sparta statue. Deimos asks Amara if she is glad that someone is doing something about searching Vasilis, instead of just talking, which Amara takes personally and explains that she would be out there looking too, if she was allowed. That causes Deimos to stumble on his words, as he tries to explain he didn't meant her. He quickly turns to Kratos telling him to meet him at the passage.
After Kratos and Deimos find Vasilis body and bring it back to Sparta, Amara congratulates Deimos, saying that everyone is saying he is a hero. Deimos wishes they wouldn't. He isn't modest about it, and admits he didn't do it for Vasilis, but to impress everyone and Amara. Deimos feels he doesn't deserve any glory. Right now Kratos is at Konstantinos office, taking the blame for what Deimos got them into. Amara states that Deimos sounds disappointed in himself, which is good He feels a bit disappointed too as he had dishonourable reasons. However he is facing the truth now and if he learns from it, she would be impressed enough. Before leaving, she tells him that the rest are expecting a story from Deimos and what should she tell them. Deimos says they should ask Kratos.
Kratos and Deimos then go back to Amara. Deimos tells her that he forgot to tell her earlier, but they have brought back Vasilis coat. Amara thanks them, stating that Vasilis loved it and it belonged to his grandfather. Vasilis hoped it brings him courage. Deimos confirms and Kratos explains that Vasilis died standing, facing his enemy. Deimos also notes that Vasilis shot the enemy with an arrow, right into its eye. Amara thanks them and states she will bring the coat to his parents, after they are back from the graveyard.
