Biography
God of War: Sons of Sparta
When Kratos was younger, he and Brontes used to be always together, training, hunting and laughing. However as Kratos' brother, Deimos, grew up, Kratos chose Deimos to be by his side and were no longer spending time with Brontes.
One day, while Kratos and Deimos search for Vasilis, Brontes and other cadets encounter them near the Port of Messenia. Brotes pulls Kratos aside and explains that Deimos lacks discipline and is pulling Kratos back, which may result in him failing to join the Vanguards. Kratos explains that he is teaching Deimos the way its best for him, and that everything is under control. Brontes feels that Kratos may be too close to Deimos to see this, but decides to drop the topic and leaves.
When Kratos and Deimos go to the Passage of Monuments, they try climbing up the scaffolding at Queen Sparta statue, but it breaks down and they fall on the ground. In that moment, Brontes arrives, seeing them lying on their backs and wonders if they are wasting their Eiren's Pass like that, while he had to beg to get a temporary field pass. He wonders what are they even doing here and Kratos states its related to Konstantinos. They ask the same about Brontes, he states he is doing field drills, however they all are being called back as there is a griffin loose at the port. Kratos and Deimos guess that could be Adrasteia, and she could help them get up to continue their search. Brontes states that if they are smart, they won't go towards the griffin's direction, but Kratos states they are spartans and they run towards danger, not away from it.
Later, Brontes is send to check on the delivery from Daedalus. As the doors are closed, Brontes introduces himself through it, however instead of Daedalus, Kratos answers, informing him that the doors are barred and to wait there until he can unbar them.
After opening the door, Kratos and Deimos return to the front gate. Kratos tells Brontes that they have taken care of the things here and he can leave. Brontes explains that he is just looking out for him as Konstantinos send him since they weren't doing their duties. Kratos gets annoyed and ask if he was looking out for Vasilis when he beat him. Brontes confirms it, stating that he disciplined Vasilis as he was bringing down the unit, so he did what he needed. Kratos states that Vasilis needed training and that Brontes pushed him away from the unit. Brontes finds that amusing as he states that Kratos did it too, like during tactic exercises. Kratos gets angry and pushes Brontes down. Brontes feels disappointed, noting that Kratos would have been great with Brontes by his side. Kratos knows that, but states that he is even greater with Deimos by his side. After Brontes leaves, Deimos wonders what was all that about, but Kratos doesn't wish to talk about it now.
