Roman gladiator helmet?

I realize GoW isn't meant as some exacting representation of mythology or history, but nothing in the series stands out of place more than this. This helmet design is wholly Roman, with no connection to the ancient Greeks or their mythology whatsoever. Not that it would have any adverse affect on gameplay for me (as if MP even interested me...), I just can't help but make such an observation and chuckle about it.
